Chalet Musini ...
This charming 4 star chalet for eight is in a quiet location at the end of a cul de sac, just 300m from the centre of Le Grand Bornand. And with the pistes just 1km away and the bus stop 300m away, you won't have to rely on your car to enjoy your holiday.
There's great skiing in Le Grand Bornand and Chinaillon, as well as the nearby Aravis resorts of La Clusaz and Manigod. And there's still plenty to discover when the snow melts, with a network of mountain trails as well as other activities such as climbing, via ferrata, canyoning and paragliding.
When you return to Chalet Musini at the end of an exciting day in the mountains, you can relax in the sauna or enjoy an apero as you take in the wonderful views of the mountains and the village from the sunny terrace or balconies.
About the property ...
Chalet Musini has plenty of room for eight guests in four bedrooms with three bathrooms, with the accommodation set over three floors.
The main entrance to the house is on the ground floor - the hallway leads you straight in to the fabulous living area, where you'll be immediately drawn to the fabulous views over the village, with the Aravis mountains beyond. Comfortable leather chairs and a sofa are arranged around the woodburning stove - the ideal place to curl up with a book, or gather to watch a film or catch up on your day after dinner. Doors open on to the wraparound balcony where you can enjoy a pre-dinner drink or perhaps a barbecue. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook up a delicious meal, and there's plenty of room to eat together at the dining table. There's also a double bedroom on this floor with an en suite shower room, and a separate toilet accessible from the hall.
There are three more bedrooms on the first floor - a double room with a shower room and doors on to a balcony; another double with a balcony and a twin room. There's also a large separate bathroom with twin washbasins.
The sauna is on the ground floor - there's no better place to wind down after a strenuous day skiing, cycling or walking. There's also a ski room with a boot warmer and a useful laundry room with a washing machine, dryer and a second fridge, perfect for keeping your drinks cold.
There's plenty of parking outside the chalet, as well as a double garage to keep your car snow free and ready to go.
About the area ...
When you stay at Chalet Musini, you're only 1km from the pistes and just a short walk from the ski bus stop.
The bus, which also serves La Clusaz, stops just 300m from the chalet. There are also plenty of cross-country trails.
Non-skiers won't be bored either - try hiking or snowshoeing, paragliding, hot-air ballooning, ice-skating or ice-climbing. Le Grand Bornand boasts the Famille Plus mark, ensuring that there is always plenty of entertainment and activities for even the youngest visitors.
In the summer, a network of walking and biking trails criss-cross the slopes, and you can pick up a route map for either at the tourist office. Le Grand Bornand has a beautiful nine-hole golf course with a great driving range, and on those very hot days, why not head for the fantastic swimming pool complex, with a restaurant and grassy areas for picnics.
If you’re looking for something a little more challenging, there’s a climbing school, via ferrata routes, a tree-top adventure park, canyoning, white-water rafting and paragliding all nearby.
August sees the international children’s festival - Au Bonheur des Mômes - in Le Grand Bornand, a week of magic shows, circus acts, theatre, games and workshops, with a grand firework finale. It’s always hugely popular, so make sure you book early to guarantee a holiday you’ll never forget!

“Cozy and well-equipped”
Warm and well-equipped chalet
“Would definitely use again”
Great location for the able-bodied or if you have transport, as the road leading up from the village is quite steep. The chalet has great views with its elevated position and is perfect for socializing with its open-plan layout. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the bathrooms and en-suite were clean and functional.
“Central Location with Comfort and Lovely Views”
Great location close to the town centre, lovely views, spacious accommodation.

The OVO Network Review
Chalet Musini is a four bedroom, three bathroom property for eight guests, just a short walk from the centre of Le Grand Bornand.
It's a great location - at the end of a quiet close, with a delightful garden, terrace and balconies, but with the pistes, bus stop, shops and restaurants just a walk away. You could easily spend a great holiday here without getting the car out.
Le Grand Bornand has everything you need for your holiday, without the hustle and bustle of the larger resorts. But the local tourist office arranges a packed programme of events - pop in there to find out what's happening during your stay.
The chalet's four bedrooms are arranged over the ground and first floors, but unfortunately, access to the chalet means it's not suited to guests with limited mobility. Two of the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, and there's a large family bathroom which is shared by the other two rooms.
Two of the bedrooms also open on to balconies - it's great to place to enjoy the first coffee of the day!
With a practical laundry room, great storage for sports equipment and a superb location, we think Chalet Musini is a great base for a mountain holiday.

Hello and welcome to Chalet Musini!
This chalet has been in our family since 2004.
It has been our father's main residence for almost 20 years, and we always have a wonderful time here with family and friends. It's a place where you'll feel “at home” during your stay.
This chalet was built in 1994 by Groupe Dunoyer, whose philosophy is to combine tradition and innovation in all its constructions, to use wood as a raw material, and to provide maximum comfort for its users, thanks to large, light-filled spaces that offer a breathtaking view of the mountains.
This post-and-beam chalet was renovated to AXE&D standards between 2009-2010.
What's most appealing to everyone staying here is the breathtaking view of the Aravis mountains, whether you're in the living room, in the bedrooms, on one of the balconies or on the terrace. The mountains take on golden hues in the morning, pink at sunset; they are snow-covered in winter and rocky in summer, with alpine pastures at their feet.
They invite both contemplation and escape.
What makes the time spent in this chalet so relaxing is its layout, its vast living room organised around a beautiful fireplace, its south-facing orientation, its large bay windows which bathe the chalet in light from 6am to 8pm in summer and which offer a view of the snow-covered village in winter.
What makes your stay practical and comfortable is the proximity of the village center (200 m), its shops and entertainment, and the easy 10-minute walk to the ski lifts, while the chalet seems isolated in a wooded plot of over 1000 m².
What will make your stay rich and rejuvenating is the exceptional environment and its many possibilities for activities: hikes or walks in the different massifs, visits to Annecy, downhill skiing at Le Grand-Bornand or La Clusaz, Nordic skiing, swimming pool and the Au Bonheur des Mômes festival in summer, as well as numerous outdoor activities, or simply contemplative moments.
We wish you an exceptional stay in our chalet! Carpe Diem!
Magali & Vincent.
